Five on Friday Set 149

Happy Day After Turkey Day!

We had a grand feast, headlined by our Butterball boneless turkey breast, garnished with Idahoan mashed potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, Bruce's yams, Safeway brand asparagus, and Heinz turkey gravy.  We also had 'berry sauce and dinner rolls.

Pie by Sara Lee...pumpkin, no whipped topping.

We are not shopping today, mainly because we don't need to.  Pam said she wanted a movie day, so that's what we're doing.  We have just enough leftovers to repeat our feast on a slightly less grand scale.

So it's cozy snuggle day...just me, Pam, and 8 rounds of Harry Potter.  And snacks.

Enjoy a random Set of songs from 1966 and the rest of your weekend!

Oh, I like Pam's idea. A lot. I haven't done a Potter marathon since there were only 4 or 5 movies. Or perhaps a LotR marathon since The Hobbit will finally be out next month!

Enjoy your leftovers! And nice, cozy snuggles!!

  1. It may be November but truly enjoyed Summer In The City. Serve mini-me turkeys (Cornish game hens) with all the usual side dishes liberally interspersed with mulled wine. Hope everyone has a great weekend. We shall probably do the child thing by going to see Rise of the Guardians.

Your day after turkey day sounds sublime! Enjoy. x

  1. Paul Revere and the Raiders! I used to have that album and stared at their lovely costumes endlessly (and this is when I was a wee kid.)

Happy Thanksgiving, Travis and Pam - enjoy your Harry Potter marathon. Brad and I had a mini HP marathon last month for Halloween Movie Madness Challenge (which you already noticed.)

  1. Summer in the city. One I haven't heard in a long time but always liked.

  1. Great set,it been a while since I heard summer in the city.

Sounds like the makings of a perfect day. We went out for some pho today, then filled up hubby's truck with diesel.

Hey, do you think the cans of cranberry sauce are getting smaller?

8 Harry Potter movies in the same day? I mean, I love Harry Potter too, but that's commitment! :) Glad that you had a great Thanksgiving Day. I just bought a pair of trousers online that I've been meaning to get since September. Not taking advantage of the 50% off is just silly, especially when I can do it from the comfort of my own home. :) Tree trimming for me today. I don't normally do it this early, but as I didn't have a proper tree last year, I'm making up for lost time. :)

    '66 my birth year.

Sounds like you and Pam had a nice Thanksgiving, and your version of Black Friday sounds much more peaceful than bludgeoning your way through the mall.

Great dinner! Our turned out quite well, too. Went to father-in-laws and got leftovers afterwards. We do not shop either. Do not need anything ;) And hate the crowds and long lines.
