There were a lot of dances to like from Tuesday's performances.  Let's see what we liked.

You have to give me something special to get an encore from a ballroom style.  Amy and Fik-Shun got there with a fine Paso Doble choreographed by Jean Marc Genereux.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

Jasmine H and Aaron commanded the stage with a refined and mature performance in a Broadway routine choreographed by Spencer Liff.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

Makenzie and Paul were surprisingly effective in a Contemporary routine choreographed by newcomer Lindsay Nelko.  Scroll forward to about 0:39 for the dance.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

Malece lost her partner Jade to injury this week, and he withdrew.  She took full advantage of All Star Marko Germar from Season 8, and danced a complete and mature Contemporary routine choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.  This was a close contender for dance of the night, and it probably should have been.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

Now I don't usually go for quirky.  Quirky has to be damn good for me to like it, much less choose it over hauntingly beautiful.  But I did this week.  Our choice for Dance of the Night goes to the jazzy hipster Hip Hop routine choreographed by newcomers Marial and Keone Madrid.  Jenna and Tucker were outstanding in the style.  We watched this back several times and were more impressed at each replay.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

There were some other good performances, but we thought these were the best.

Tune in next week gang.

Cheers!
