I thought about doing a great patriotic Set, but then I decided just to go back to 1976.  These are some great tunes from the bicentennial year of the United States of America.

Happy Independence!

  1. Always kind of liked Year of the Cat. Not my usual cup of tea, but it's cool.

  1. New York State of Mind is one of my all time favorite songs no matter who sings it. Then you threw in one of my guitar gods: Lindsay Buckingham. Great set.

Saturday routine in 1976 was to listen to the American Top 40 with Casey Kasem. All of those songs were very familiar and loved from that. That is except for New York State of Mind, which wasn't released as a single at the time. I didn't hear it until I went to my first Billy Joel concert, but now it's one of my favorite Billy Joel songs. So, 5 out of 5 this week! :)
