There were some notable performances last night on So You Think You Can Dance. I'll try for video, but they haven't been viewable after I post them here on the blog.

Pam and I voted for Sara & Pasha. Other favorites were Danny & Anya, Lacey & Kameron, and Lauren & Neil. Some of the pairs suffered in style and choreography this week and could be in danger, like Jamie & Hok or Shauna & Cedric.

Speaking of dancing...in case you missed it or didn't get a clear idea...I love it!! And Jamie has a wonderful post with some terrific dance clips. Check it out at Duward Discussion.

Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix hit theaters today!! YAY!! Pam and I are taking my mom to see it this weekend, after the car show!! Woooooooooo!!

You do have quite a collection.

I cant believe that you didnt mention Troy-Less Cressida!! Cheers Trav!!

  1. Danielle says:

I adore The Odyssey. I had to translate many passages from Latin in school but couldn't get the story. Latin is crazy. When I took my World Literature class, it was like meeting an old friend. Check this out.. Again the others shows how much you love the written word.

    Happy TT!

I LOVE "So You Think You Can Dance"! I wasn't too crazy about the choreography last night for the most part, but the dancers are quite amazing. Pasha is really good...and, as your lady might agree, quite easy on the eyes!

  1. Shelby says:

you helped inspire my list today :)

  1. I wish I loved to read as a lot of people do. But it just puts me to sleep. Maybe one day I'll get into it. Besides I don't have much time either

  1. Sandee says:

Not participating, but wanted to comment. I'll bet Ian likes being mentioned... Great list as always. You are so deep Travis. Have a great day. :)

    WOO-HOO! The Milkman!
    Loved this!

    Happy TT!

  1. I like Tony Hillerman, but I haven't read that much of his stuff. I love the PBS films that were adapted from his books.

  1. Meribah says:

Oh! I read All Creatures Great And Small! That's a nice book. There's even an old TV series based on the book. It's a British show, and I'm not sure if you can get it, but if you can, watch it!

  1. Katherine: This was a pretty good section, very diverse I think.

V: And there's still more to come.

CWM: It really was a good show.

Shelby: It's been years since I read the Herriott.

Bee: In the sidebar my dear!

Sarge: I should post some from my history section soon.

Danielle: The Iliad is my favorite of the two.

Mags: And many more weeks to follow. I still have another 7 foot tall case and a half.

    Skittles: Hi there!

  1. Steven: I suspect that some of the choreography was done to hide as much technical weakness as possible. Some of the pairs really shined though.

Shelby: I'll be by soon to check it out.

Dix: If you want to read, you should start with short books in subjects you enjoy. My mom never read much when she was younger, but now she's always got a book with her wherever she goes.

Comedy: I really enjoyed Ian's book.

    Sanni: YAY for Ian!

Songbird: I've only read a couple of Hillerman's books and enjoyed them.

Meri: I remember that series. I'm sure I've seen some of it on PBS.

  1. Ian says:

Hey, look! I'm next to Hemingway! That RAWKS!

    Ian

  1. TopChamp says:

    4. James Herriott - All Things Bright and Beautiful, All Creatures Great and Small, All Things Wise and Wonderful.... ha ha ha. This was THE GREATEST tv programme when I was a kid. Lots of sticking arms up cow's bottoms etc etc. Loved it.

  1. Ian: You rock Sir! And so does your book!

    TC: Ew!

  1. Now, this time we have matching books! But Victoria Holt? I'm rather surprised, although she was one of the first authors I picked up - in fact, my dad gave me one of her books to read when I was about nine. Also, the Nun's Story, and blamed if I can remember the rest...
