I didn't make rounds again tonight. Shame on me! I'll be back around soon though. I just need a little time to get organized again.

So we're sitting here waiting for So You Think You Can Dance to begin, and Pam says "Hey! Don't forget the list!"

Don't forget to sign Mr Linky - it's down there at the bottom.

This is the last week that the judges determine who stays and who goes. YAY!! This is also the last night for this group of partners. After the results show this week they will not only pick dances out of a hat, they’ll pick new partners out of a hat as well. Also, making the top 10 means that you get to go on the summer dance tour.

Our favorites tonight? Anya and Danny were brilliant with their Foxtrot. We couldn’t take our eyes off it! To watch it, you’d think they’d been dancing together forever and that Danny was a trained ballroom dancer. They definitely connected with the dance, with each other, and with the audience. It was elegant, classy, and perfect. This kind of performance was exactly what they both needed.

Who's in trouble? Tough to say. So we won't. HA!

Interesting thing about this week - fanbases will be important really for the first time. Anya and Danny were brilliant, but they haven't connected with voters. Will they be able to steal votes from another pair? Lacey and Kameron have never been in the bottom and are favorites, but will those fans vote for a subpar dance?

Did Mia Michaels design something so obscure and difficult to understand that voters will ignore how wonderful the movement was for Lauren and Neil? Are Sabra and Dom just so much fun that fans will forgive the lapses in technique? Will Jamie's beauty and elegance pull in enough votes to cover Hok's technical issues? Will the chemistry between Sara and Pasha overcome the challenge of odd music and strange choreography?

We're voting for Anya & Danny - putting our votes behind such a wonderful Foxtrot. And we'll throw in the occasional vote for Sara & Pasha.

Here's Mr Linky for the Thursday 13.

  1. Janna says:

    Your bookshelf looks interesting! :)
    I've never read Stephen King's It, but I've always wanted to. And I haven't heard of The Gunslinger, but if it's also by Stephen King I might like that one too!

  1. Janna says:

    What? Bee says there's cake in the sidebar?
    (Oops; I should capitalize that, shouldn't I...)
    There's CAKE in the sidebar.
    Can I have some?
    Is it chocolate?

  1. Schmoop says:

    "It" is one of my favorites. They all float down here!! Cheers Trav.

  1. It was my second favorite King book, The Stand being the tops...

    Incredible library Travis, but I have said that before.

    Was not around until later on last night, so i did not see the show....

  1. Not bored...just...amazed.

    Do you have any room for anything else? Do you sleep on books? Is your sofa made of books?

    How about your kitchen table?

    ;)

    Come vote later if you haven't already...and look at my TT!

  1. Oh I LOVE John Irving. LOVE LOVE LOVE him!

    And the Gunslinger series is so good it makes my toes curl. Did ya like the ending?

  1. You should start a book club blog, Travis. I loooe to discuss what everyone is reading and I love to be turned on to ones I haven't read yet.

  1. Unknown says:

    No, I´m not bored with your libary list - Far from it! I love to find some treasures to read, especially during the summer. Nothing better than reading a good book on the patio =)

  1. Anndi says:

    The Gunslinger ROCKS!

    And since the idjits and monkeys couldn't get my internet (the whole grid.. not just me) going I had plenty of time to watch the foxtrot and it was my favourite dance of the night!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  1. Danielle says:

    I knew you had books I would recognize. Ulysses is on my to read list and I am enthralled with Stephen King, my favorite being the Stand.

  1. TopChamp says:

    hello - I'm interested... but have never read any of them.

  1. Sandee says:

    Not participating, but wanted to comment. You really have a nice selection. I dont' read any of those authors, but you always have an impressive list. Have a great day Travis. :)

  1. Bee: Well I said for everyone to make sure they leave a piece of CAKE for ya, so next time you don't have to stay up so late.

    Katherine: I've never had a book autographed before.

    Janna: "It" is really the only Stephen King book I like. I didn't care for Gunslinger and didn't finish it. And it's Boston Creme CAKE in the sidebar - delicious!

    Lisa: Good!

    Julie: Me too! Let's hope Anya & Danny connected last night for some votes.

    Matt: That's an all time classic line.

    V: I like the book and the made for tv movie of "It". Good stuff.

    Mags: I do have room for regular furniture, but my shelves are completely full now. I'll be over soon to vote - I hope it's not too late!

    Starrlight: A Prayer for Owen Meany is one of my all time favorites. I didn't like Gunslinger, and so didn't finish it or that whole series of books.

    108: I am on Goodreads, but it's been awhile since I updated my lists. I should tend to that pretty soon.

    Sanni: I hope you've found a few on my lists that interest you!

    Ann: That Foxtrot is one of the best dances - over all three seasons. It rivals Melanie & Nick's Broadway from the first season, and Heidi & Benji's Mambo from last season.

    Danielle: Good luck with Ulysses. I read it cover to cover and couldn't describe it to you.

    TC: Maybe soon I'll come across one we have in common.

    Comedy: If I were to recommend one from this list, it would be either A Prayer for Owen Meany or Stephen King's It.

  1. I *adore* Guy Gavriel Kay! One of my all-time favorite authors. Happy TT!

  1. Joely: Me too! I really enjoy his use of language.

  1. I read a synopsis of Ulysses in high school; didn't like the Gunslinger, either; loved It, but the Stand is my all-time favorite.
    I've read a lot of Susan Isaacs but don't recognize that one.
    (BTW: I really appreciate your commment about the meme! When you say something like that, I take it to heart. Thanks! If you want to do this one, feel free!)
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  1. Shelby says:
    take care and happy day today :)
  1. Gracie: I know I read that Isaacs book, but can't remember what it's about.
    Shelby: Thanks!
  1. Barb says:
    Have you read Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas books? They are great!
