Healthy again!

Thanks to all for your concern about my migraine. It did rev up to full throttle this morning. I like to look at a niftly kaleidescope sometimes, but I like to put the dang thing down when I'm done with it!

It was pretty sucky having to work through it. But I'm much better now. I still have a ways to go to catch up with blog rounds. I'm working on it.

I'm watching Charlie Brown! Aren't you watching The Great Pumpkin? I haven't seen this in ages. Do you remember this pearl of wisdom, spoken by the sincere Linus?

"Never jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker."

The videos are hiding again. Julie voted for the Samba from Cameron and Edyta.

Pam and I enjoyed the Cha Cha Cha from Helio and Julianne. And we join Julie and Marsha in our appreciation for the most excellent Rumba from Mel and Maks.

Too bad I couldn't find either of those clips. And I couldn't find the group dance either. Dangit.

The judges select the group rock and roll jive dance as their encore, less Ms Jane who may have a case of food poisoning. It was just as good the second time around. You'll have to take my word for it.

It's Barry Manilow, cause he writes the songs ya know. Cheryl and Louis burned up the floor.

Here's a recap of the leader board from Monday night's performances.

30 Mel
28 Helio
27 Jennie
25 Sabrina
25 Cameron
23 Marie
22 Ms Jane

Moving on to next week are Mel & Maks and Ms Jane and Tony. That's ominous for some of the favorites.

Bruno and Carrie Ann have a new show coming in January, hosted by Drew Lachey. It's called Dance Wars and looks for singers and dancers. I'm not sure exactly about the premise, but it's got singing and dancing y'all. I'm in.

I miss my videos. Still searching...no luck.

Barry plays piano and sings Mandy. I admit it. I like this song. Anna and Jonathan dance a beautiful waltz.

Helio and Julianne are safe. Jennie and Derek are safe. Marie and Jonathan are safe. Ruh roh. Someone is going home who previously had a good chance to win.

Cameron and Edyta are in the bottom two, with Sabrina and Mark.

Sabrina and Mark are out. Wow.

OK OK OK! Blame Pam and I if you must, and others like us. We voted for Ms Jane and Marie. But we voted for our favorite celebrities, the ones we have been enjoying throughout the season. We freely admit that we didn't necessarily vote for the best dancers.

Sabrina was talented enough to win. But it's all about who votes and when they vote. It's not about dialing for two hours straight like some other shows. Everybody gets 7 votes and we cast ours for who we liked. Next week we'll get 6 votes. Maybe we'll vote differently and maybe we won't.

The point is, everybody has a chance to influence the voting their way because the number of votes per phone or internet is limited.

Sorry about the videos.

Hey - Happy Halloween!!! Check out The Mo Show if you get a chance. Morgen will be discussing Witches, Wiccans, and Bigfoot at 7pm on Blog Talk Radio.

  1. So sorry for you! I thought I'd "outgrow" (as in menopause) the miserable things but no such luck.
    My hubman is enjoying this year's season, too. I think Jane Seymour may have something to do with that!
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  1. Marsha says:
    Was that results not a shocker?? I figured Sabrina to have a good chance to win the whole thing. I guess the final two will get down to Helio and Mel now - either one being the winner.
    And I sure hope the musical choices are better next week. lol
  1. While doing the radio show the TV was on mute...was Ms. Jane not there last night?
    I am happy she made it through....I likey her...
  1. Shelby says:
    Jane is always so happy..
  1. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better Trav...
  1. Glad you are feeling better! Personally I am glad cheetah wench is gone. I found her vaguely exhausting to watch :P
  1. Glad you're feeling better. I've never had a migraine, and am thankful for it.
  1. I was a bit worried when you bailed out of Dr.B's chat room. Glad you are feeling better and seeing clearer.
    I don't have a fave this season for DWTS...but found the judges reaction last night kinda interesting...
  1. Sorry about the migraine. My son gets them so I know just how horrid they can get when you have to work through them.
    The absolute best Barry Manilow is the one almost no one has. He did it because he loves Jazz "2 AM Paradise Cafe" If you've never heard it, it is worth the price just for "When October Goes" and "Big City Blues"
  1. Meribah says:
    Woohoo! Glad you are feeling better, and Happy Halloween to you too!
  1. Sorry about the migraine, Trav. I used to suffer from those, but now that I'm on blood thinners, I haven't had a headache of any kind in ages (small gifts, ya know).
    Hey, totally unrelated to dance - what did you think of Brett Favre in the MNF game this week? He proved he still has it, huh? What a STUD QB.
  1. Julie says:
    Well.....my phrase for the time being "It is what it is!"
    So glad you're doing better!
    Isn't Linus the best?
  1. Man, that is one scary looking witch.
    BOOH!
    Happy Halloween!
  1. Gracie: Ms Jane is certainly holding my attention!
    Marsha: It was a bit of a shock, yeah. One more shocking results show and I think all bets are off!
    V: I guess Ms Jane was ill. It was kinda funny watching Tony do the group dance as a solo.
    Shelby: And sexy...don't forget sexy!
    Mags: Thank you dear!
    Starrlight: She was a terrific dancer and performer. I'm a little surprised at how quickly she fell though.
    Charles: I hope that continues for you. I'd like to get rid of mine once and for good.
  1. Katherine: Sorry about that. I had a bit of a minor kitty situation. Basically he decided to do a freak out all over the house. But he and I are both better now.
    And I know what you mean about the judges. Bruno was telling everyone to vote for their favorites...well maybe they did!
    Jamie: I've heard of that...I don't have it in my collection but it sounds like I should check it out.
    Meri: And a Happy All Hallows to you too dear!
    Songbird: I've never really been a Favre fan. But there's no doubt he's having one of those dream seasons.
    Julie: Linus rocks! How do you say It Is What It Is in Italian anyway? LOL!
    Travis: It's the Mo-Witch. Welcome!
    Sanni: Woooooooooooo!! Hiya doll!
  1. Ugh on the migraine--I'm glad you're better! Are you doing NaNo this year?
  1. Liz Hill says:
    Ah--voting for two hours on three or four phones-I remember it well. And not once--ever--did I vote for anyone except the person I wanted to win. THat's what works for me.
    Glad you are better--sorry Mr. Tucker had a freak out---my little dog had one a few weeks ago--freaked ME out LOL
    Thank you for the haiku.
    Officially crazy starts for me in 2 hours ;-) (NaNo)
  1. Joely: I thought about doing NaNo, but only for a minute or two. I'm just not in any frame of mind to write anything more than blog posts and the occasional haiku these days.
    Turn: If a career were at stake, we'd definitely be picking the one we thought was most talented and appealed to us most. Good luck with the writing!
