Mo's Manic Monday - Relish
Posted: Monday, November 19, 2007 by Travis Cody inBefore we get to Manic Monday, I have one thing to say about New England. When you are ahead 42-10 at the end of the third quarter, and you are stopped on 3rd down just outside the Buffalo 10 yard line, kick the field goal. There is no need to be a bully and go for it on 4th down just so you can pad your fucking stats. This is why I do not like New England.

Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at It's A Blog Eat Blog World. Today's theme is Relish.
Oy. I had a tough time with this one. I've been wanting to write something, but I just haven't had the inspiration. It isn't the themes Mo is choosing. Not at all. It's just that I can't seem to get my brain working right.
So what am I going to post for this word. How about things that I relish?
The most obvious is CAKE!
Another thing I relish is the last 100 pages of a really good book.
How about a classic sports moment, like Kirk Gibson hitting an improbable home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series?
When I lived in southern California, during the summer I would relish an ice cold bottle of water. Or perhaps a crisp, cold beer.
What else? Well, I relish the thing I never actually expected to find. It snuck up on me when I wasn't looking for it. I relish the love of a woman. It's soul deep and all encompassing. It makes me feel special. It's romantic and sexy and soft and safe. It makes me a better man and a better person.
Great post, Trav. I relish a tall glass of lemonade on a hot, summer day. :)
You can come to my place today and have some cake too. ;)
Happy MM.
