Mo's Manic Monday - Carol

Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at It's A Blog Eat Blog World. Today's theme is Carol.

That's my aunt's name...but she spells it with an "e" on the end. So I guess I'll do something else.

The season hasn't quite arrived until I hear Burl Ives!

One of the best voices ever, Mr Nat King Cole.

Heehee!

Spare a thought for the men and women serving our country around the world, who will be away from their families during this holiday season.

I wish you all the joy of the season as you celebrate your traditions. Be kind, be tolerant, be happy.

Joyous Yule!

  1. Great post, Travis. Lots of holiday music out and about in the blogosphere.

    I love that. Good advice all around.

    I have an aunt Carolyn, so we almost sorta have something in common.

    Thanks for doing Manic Monday!

    From the first days after American Thanksgiving, my car radio is set to a station in Vermont that plays nothing but Christmas music ... and I sing and car dance wherever I go... especially whenever I hear Burl Ives!

    Enjoy your first "I don't have to go in today cause I'm on vacation" day.

  1. Ian says:

    Happy MM, Travis. :)

  1. I loooove Nat King Cole. Happy Christmas, friend.

  1. I think Burl Ives is my favorite Christmas Carol singer...
    except for Barbra Streisand - which always struck me as ironic, her being Jewish and all...
    but nothing beats her Jingle Bells!

  1. Sandee says:

    Loved the Beach Boys. They have always been a favorite. Well done and have a great MM Travis. :)

  1. Akelamalu says:

    Love the music Travis. :)

    Some very lovely Christmas carol choices! And you're right about the season not arriving until hearing Burl Ives sing.

  1. Jeff B says:

    Merry Christmas my good man!

  1. Mimi: I didn't have a chance to make rounds today. Hopefully later in the week.

    Janna: My neighbor's name is Carolyn. We're practically related!

    Julie: Heehee!

    Ann: I did! But it was a very long day.

    Ian: And to you Sir.

    Kyra: Right back atcha.

    Mo: We heard Babs singing the Ave Maria today. I got chills.

    Sandee: Glad you got to hear that one. I guess the clip stopped working sometime today.

    Akelamalu: I'm pleased to share it.

    Shelia: Many thanks.

  1. Jamie: That was Little St Nick from the Beach Boys, but I guess it quit working.

    V: Yes he is.

    Steven: And not a moment too soon I should think!

    Katherine: Sorry about that...don't know what happened.

    TC: I love Burl Ives!

    Alice & Reba: Hmmmm...I wonder if there were problems today with the clips.

    Meri: Smooch!

    Roger: Maybe tomorrow?

    Linda: That's like the holiday bell for me.

    Jeff: And to you Sir!

  1. I'll take Nat King Cole for this group...I like the Beach Boys, too. But the smoothe, clean sound of Nat - nothing like it.
    Johnny Carson once asked Frank Sinatra, "Who do you listen to when you're making love?" I think you could've asked Nat that, too...
    Hope you're enjoying your days off and it isn't too cold for you.
    You and Pam and your families - Have a very blessed Christmas!
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  1. Burl Ives will forever be connected with those stop action animated Christmas classics.
    Ah...Christmas songs...I love them!
  1. Gracie: I love Nat's voice. And so far so good on the vacation.
    Songbird: Yup...when I hear his voice I naturally think of Christmas.
    Dana: Me too!
