Mo's Manic Monday - Explosive

Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at It's A Blog Eat Blog World. Today's theme is Explosive.

They are politically explosive. They are environmentally explosive. They are emotionally explosive. They affect every nation and every person on the planet.

They are nuclear explosions.

I make no political statements about them today. I merely point out the fact that even as the most dangerous man-made destructive events in the history of the world, nuclear explosions are stunningly beautiful.

Very cool Mr. Trav! Sometimes things that are so powerful are beautiful. Just not always the results of that power.

It's sad that something so destructive can also be something so incredibly beautiful.

    Great pics.
Looks kind of like some people's relationships that I have observed from afar. Great to look at but you don't want to be anywhere near ground zero.

  1. I have always thought so also - but never spoke of it as it just seemed weird to admire something so deadly....though I also love to watch a fire burn....

my comments aren't working properly. On the offchance that this sticks:

The photos are amazing - and unlike anything I've seen before. It's strange that they are so stunning.

The irony is incredible! I hope that we only will be able to see pictures of them in our lifetime.

  1. Finding beauty in scary things-that's one of the secrets to surviving, I think.

  1. j says:

OK, I'm not going to actually sign up for this one BUT (and don't I always have a big BUT...) I have pics from Sunday of the Muscle guy blowing up the water bottle at our church. And EXPLODE it did. Then he threw the water bottle carcass at this other guy in the audience, the most well built guy in the building besides Muscle guy (ROWWRR) and mention the spit that had built up on the sides of it. EEWWWW! But the real explosion was the movement of the Lord in the church. WOW! That was BEAUTIFUL!!! Jennifer

  1. j says:

Ahem...that would be "mentioned" and the pics are on my site. Sheesh, how do I even walk around? Jen

  1. Jeff B says:

Quite the contrast between the visual and actual.

  1. Mike: It's a good story.

    CWM: The do at that.

    Shelia: I'm with you there.

    Mags: Good point.

    Jennifer: Whoa!

    Jeff: Most definitely.
