Sorry gang...there's quite a bit of video on this post.

First up, the promised Jive from Cristian and Cheryl for my pal Matt-Man.

Next, we have the Jive from Jason and Edyta.

Kristi and Mark were technically outstanding with their Tango.

But we thought that the Tango from Priscilla and Louis was the best dance of the night.

Here's a reminder of the leader board from Monday:

27 Kristi & Mark
26 Priscilla & Louis
25 Cristian & Cheryl
24 Shannon & Derek
23 Jason & Edyta
21 Marlee & Fabian
21 Steve & Anna
21 Adam & Julianne
21 Mario & Karina
19 Marissa & Tony

The judges pull a silly for the encore and select Steve to Tango with Jonathan Roberts! But Jonathan didn't wear a dress...he wore full tales. Bwahahahahahahahahaha! That was hilarious!

The first couples to be safe are Kristi & Mark and Adam & Julianne.

It doesn't look good for Marissa & Tony.

Kylie Minogue is in the ballroom y'all with a world premier new single, All I See. She's got the red dress going, but we can't see the shoes. Ah...silver with big thick heels. She had her own dancers, so maybe later we'll get to see our pros.

The next two safe couples are Priscilla & Louis along with Marissa & Tony.

Well, now it doesn't look good for Steve & Anna, Shannon & Derek, Cristian & Cheryl, Mario & Karina, Jason & Edyta, or Marlee & Fabian.

Call it filler night. We are subjected to a silly video of the celebrities and the "things they get up to" when they aren't rehearsing. Hmmmmm...perhaps they couldn't find anyone to choreograph a dance for the pros. Or maybe there weren't any available dance groups to fill this four minutes.

Speaking of special guests...it's the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater with a wonderful high energy revival. The clip isn't what they did on the show, but it is representative of the talented dancers in the company.

Kylie Minogue returns with Can't Get You Out Of My Head, accompanied by Julianne and Mark, with a hip hop Samba followed by a bit of Paso Doble. Oh dear. The boots. Oh my. I feel light-headed. Yikes! The stiletto heel!

More results now...Jason & Edyta will continue as will Marlee & Fabian.

Once again they do not reveal a bottom two, so we'll only know who is leaving and not who is truly in danger.

Cristian & Cheryl are safe. Shannon & Derek are safe. Mario & Karina are safe, which means Steve & Anna are out.

I didn't catch which dances were up for next week, so we'll all be surprised together.

And a bonus! This is Mr David Cook with his version of Dolly Parton's Little Sparrow, from the show that shall not be named.

Later babies!

  1. it was too bad about Steve and Anna...but I have a feeling this will help springboard his career.

I hope I can move like Pricilla when I am 52....let alone 62. wow.

  1. Last night's show was wonderful. Can't believe I've been watching the Alvin Ailey Troop for 50 years. His signature work, Revelations, is amazing. Anyone who has never seen them in person should make the effort (click on link). My favorite Ailey choreography is "Cry" that he created for Judith Jameson who now directs the company.

Hey Trav...the show was great last night, although I dosed off at the end and didn't see who was voted off till I came to your site and re-cap. Thank You So Much! I think that it was the best choice so far even though I just loved Steve and Anna. What a wonderful guy he is.
Hey Trav...I see you are near Seattle? My sister and her family don't live very far from there. She lives in Bonny Lake, Washington...east of Seattle. Ever heard of it? Just wondering. Sometime life can be such a small world.
    Smiles,
    Kimmie

Pricilla's tango was HOT HOT HOT!

Loved all the videos Trav. :)

  1. I was sorry to see Steve go (and Anna)...Mario deserved to go before him and Adam the devil's spawn MUST go soon

I missed the shoes from last night though as I was doing the Radio happy Hour...sheesh...DWTS, the radio show, Big Brother and now Hell's Kitchen all on at the same time....

  1. BeckEye says:

You know I don't watch DWTS, but somehow I'm sad to hear of The Guttenburg's demise.

By the way, David Cook was rushed to the hospital last night. Fingers crossed that he'll be okay!

  1. Sandee says:

Okay, you are still watching television. Where is Pam? Have a great day Travis. :)

I really liked the guest dancers, buy Kylie What's-her-name was just worthless filler. If she never comes back it will be fine with me. I know they need to fill and hour in order to sell advertising, but most is just worthless tripe. I would much rather see guest dance troupes, the pros from the show, or even past winners as guests instead of some pop diva that has no relevance whatsoever.
I know, I'm whining. I'll be quiet now.

  1. Julie says:

Good recap for Dance dear.....DC to the hospital? Yikes!

  1. I can see Kristi walking away with this at the end.

  1. Liz Hill says:

Thanks for the great re-cap and YUMMY encores!

  1. TopChamp says:

pretty song at the end. Tango-ing to Rio's odd though.

  1. Meribah says:

**The puppy dances across Trav's blog and shakes her tail** Nobody can shake tail like me! LOL :P

  1. Katherine: That's one of the reasons so many of them go on the show. But he truly seemed to be excited just to be there.

Jamie: I watched several of the clips on youtube and was mesmerized by some of those dances.

Kimmie: Well, Steve certainly wasn't going to win. But I liked him so much better than Adam.

    Akelamalu: Yes it was!

    V: TIVO! LOL!

Beck: I read about DC. They said it was just a precaution because he said he wasn't feeling well.

Sandee: As I've said before, we enjoy the same programs and I like to write about some of them.

Drilleraa: She's been around awhile and that was actually the first time I'd ever heard her. But then I don't listen to the radio much anymore.

Julie: Thanks dear. Don't worry! I read that he's ok.

Lana: That's the consensus after three dances, but weird stuff can happen.

    Turn: You're welcome!

TC: It was odd, as was the mangling of Roxanne.

Meri: Well, I can shake some pretty good tail too ya know!

  1. Unknown says:

    Aw, man, not Steve!

  1. Actually David's blood pressure went through the roof. It seems his older brother beat brain cancer a year ago and they just found out it was back and in his spine. He was in pretty bad shape. Poor kid =(

  1. Hey Trav, just had to run over here and say hi. (oh, and Go Tribe! hehe)

    Hope you are doing great!

  1. Jeff B says:

Who needs TV when you're on the scene? I might just learn to like this stuff yet.

  1. Dana: Yes dear. It happened.

Starr: That's rough. And it makes his performance even more special.

Misty: I hear good things about your Indians...and only 160 more games to go!

    Jeff: I live to serve!
