Mo's Manic Monday - 1000

Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at It's A Blog Eat Blog World. Today's theme is 1000.

I wrote this on Friday.

A Thousand Times

A thousand times he walked with her.
A thousand times she smiled.
A thousand times he talked with her,
A thousand times, deep in the night.

A thousand times they did embrace.
A thousand times they danced.
A thousand times he watched her face.
A thousand times, entranced.

A thousand times they stole the hours.
A thousand times, more precious still.
A thousand times, and time devoured.
A thousand times, together until...

A thousand times he held her.
A thousand times she cried.
A thousand times he loved her.
A thousand times, and then he died.

Nothing quite prepares you for having half your heart torn away. It takes awhile to forgive the betrayal and start loving them again.

How is that a football playing Marine wanna be can be such a softie? Don't you know you are supposed to be a tough guy? Obviously you are darn near perfect and your Lady-love is truly blessed.

If my Husband wrote poetry for me I believe it would sound like this:

Violets are blue
And roses are red
You know I love you
Get into my bed.

Warms the heart doesn't it?

I hope that your week is lovely!

Jennifer

Wow! That poem coming this week. You get over the grief. You get over the anger. You learn to laugh again, but whoever tried to leave by dying never does.
