Happy 99th episode!
Prior to the results, we have the judges selecting the top 10 best dances from the first 5 seasons. These are all dances that scored 30.
Sorry gang. I just couldn't resist all the video.
10. Kelly Monaco & Alec Mazzo, freestyle dance from Season 1 - I have to disagree right off the top. I remember this dance. The judges scored it a 30 after they stumbled and missed several holds.
9. Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas, Paso Doble from Season 5 - This dance was hot! I really thought they would compete until the end, especially after this dance. But they were eliminated early after an equally stunning Foxtrot.
8. Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke, Cha Cha Cha from Season 3 - This was fantastic! I think that Season 3 with Emmitt was a real turning point for Dancing with the Stars, because it made the show OK for men to watch with their wives/girlfriends.
7. Apolo Ohno & Julianne Hough, Quick Step from Season 4 - This was such a charming and fun dance! Not only was the dance perfect, but they hit every mark with their expressions.
6. Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson, Jive from Season 4 - This is definitely one of my all time favorites. I love Jive anyway, and this was just so good. Joey always engaged the crowd when he danced.
5. Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough, Quick Step from Season 5 - If there was a Quick Step that was anywhere near as good as Apolo & Julianne, it was this one. And why not? Julianne was the common denominator!
4. Drew Lachey & Cheryl Burke, freestyle from Season 2 - This dance really does set the standard for freestyle. No one has done it as well.
3. Stacy Kiebler & Tony Dovolani, Samba from Season 2 - LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS!!!!!!!! Day-um! How could I forget about this one?? Yeeeeeee-owsa!
2. Mel B & Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Paso Doble from Season 5 - This is just brilliant from perhaps the sexiest partnership in the history of the show.
1. Mario Lopez & Karina Smirnoff, Tango from Season 3 - While I agree that this dance was outstanding, it is not one of my favorites from them. I couldn't find the clip.
Sorry again for all the video, but I just couldn't resist.
Mel B and Maks' IS my all time favorite...man, that dance is HAWT!
Then comes Cheryl and Drew!!
