Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at It's A Blog Eat Blog World. Today's theme is Big. Credit for the graphic goes to my big kitty Mr Tucker.

I'm a little eclectic with the big stuff today. HA! Get it? Little with the big?

What? That's comedy right there!

This was the first thing that popped into my head. It's Mr Big with To Be With You. It was released in 1992 and spent three weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.


Gotta love the power ballad.



I'm taking a big step in my career. I enrolled in an online program through University of San Francisco to obtain a Masters Certificate in Supply Chain Management. This is a great step for me.

Supply chains are about planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, and how products pass through each phase. I have practical experience in procurement and logistics...I work in logistics now. This program is going to build on that practical experience as well as add skills so that I can support the teams I work with more effectively.

It will also open up opportunities so that I'm not just doing a job, but finally establishing a real career.

The first section looks at the supply chain from a functional perspective. Then I'll move on to tactical implementation. Then I'll finish with strategic best practices.



It's a big week for the final four dancers - Twitch, Joshua, Katee, and Courtney. They'll perform on Wendesday. We'll vote for our favorite. And then Thursday, one of them will be the winner.

If you've been a regular visitor over the last few weeks, you know that my guy is Twitch. Pam also enjoys Twitch, but last week her votes went to Katee.

It's going to be a great performance finale.



The big announcement of the new cast for Dancing with the Stars is due on August 25! YAY! The show returns in September with a big three night premier starting September 22. YAY again!

A post about big stuff wouldn't be complete without more pictures of my big cat, Mr Tucker. Look at that big guy! He's handsome and charming and understands the value of a good woobie...just like his daddy!

He's been spending a lot of time recently looking out the big garden window. We have tons of cheeky squirrels out back, and the shrubs are full of birds.

Shoelaces are great fun, especially when they are still attached to the shoes!

Look at that face! Say it with me now....awwwwwwwwwww!

    Is that your foot, in your shoe, attached to the shoelace he's playing with?

    It would be fun to adopt a pet rock and name him "Twitch".

    Now that IS a big cat, and I'm sure he rules the roost too...lol...just like mine, she KNOWS she's the queen bee.

    Congrats and good luck on your masters. Does this mean you've finally decided what it is you want to be when you grow up?? I know I haven't figured that out yet and I've got no clues.

    as to flow, find your bottleneck, i remember that. there was a book i read about that but i don't remember the name. guess i need to up my fish oil a little! ha ha

    As I have stated, I would love to see Twitch win, but I have this feeling Joshua an edge right now.

    EXCELLENT news about taking the new course. This will open so many more doors for you Travis and give you the edge.

    WT4W: Of course! What's not to love about that kitty?

    CWM: I think it's going to be super competitive.

    Marsha: Mr Tucker seems to think he's the main purpose for all existence. He's probably right. And I did decide what I wanted to be when I grow up, but it doesn't really mean I have to grow up just yet.

    Bitter Betty: He might let you kiss his head, but you'd have to negotiate the hugs.

    Ivanhoe: When I signed up for the class, I wasn't very busy. Now suddenly it seems like everything is happening at once! Must find focus.

    Bee: Yup...supply chain management is all about finding the bottleneck and removing it.

    Lois: So far so good on the program. I'll be listening to the first round of lectures on Thursday.

    As for Mr. Tucker, he is one big handsome cat and his personality beams right through the pictures; he seems a right jolly and yet civilized fellow!

    Wonderful post Travis! I never knew what Mr. Big looked like! A mighty powerful voice from a face like that. The whole band was very "pretty" if you know what I mean. I always LOVED that song though. Thanks for the flashback! Sixteen years ago? Man!

    Good for you for taking this course! You will be so filled with knowledge that will enhance your skills even more!

    And then Mr. Tucker...what can I say? He's just a big sweetie....like his daddy!
