Welcome to another results recap!

Cue that theme music!

But wait! Before we begin I must impart some important, very serious wisdom to you.

Are you ready? I can wait.

**whistle whistle whistle**

**fingers tapping**

Ready now? Good!

Alrighty then! Now we're ready for some encores!

Here are the group dances from all 7 seasons. Don't worry...I didn't hit you with all the video. Some are just links to the Youtube clips. Enjoy!

Season 1 began it all with a Viennese Waltz.

For season 2 we had Salsa.

Season 3 was a terrific Disco.

Season 4 brought us a rousing Swing!

Season 5 topped that one with a Rock and Roll rumble. We think this is the best group dance from the best season.

Season 6 took us to the wild west with a country number to Cotton Eyed Joe.

Now the group hip hop this week wasn't that good, but the couples had fun and that's what these numbers are all about.

Sorry about that. I just couldn't resist a little trip down memory lane. Y'all know how much I love this show.

Here's how our leader board looked after Monday's performances:

27 Lance and Lacey
26 Brooke and Derek
25 Warren and Kym
23 Cody and Julianne
23 Susan and Tony
21 Maurice and Cheryl
15 Cloris and Corky

Yup...that's Lance and Lacey at the top, not Brooke and Derek. L&L had the dance of the night, a fantastic Jive.

Naturally the couples reprise the hip hop group dance as the encore. Oh well.

It's a jam-packed show tonight. We've got Missy Elliott with the Pussy Cat Dolls. We've got ballroom kids. We've got Michael Flately in a special number. Wow! Try to keep up gang!

Let's get to some business. The first to safety are Lance and Lacey. Joining them is Cody, who will dance with Edyta next week while Julianne recuperates from having her appendix out. DUDE! It's the return of Edyta's ABS and LEGS!

Ballroom kids now!

First we have the sibling team of Craig, who is 13, and Samantha, who is 11, dancing Cha Cha Cha. Their younger sister was part of the first ballroom kids last season. That was an aggressive, high energy Cha Cha Cha. Excellent! Michael said sensational. Bruno said fantastic, and praised their vibrancy and technical ability. Carrie Ann gave them a wooooooooooooooo!

Next is Simon, who is 13, and Lucy, who is 13, dancing Samba. Simon was bribed to start dancing, while Lucy does ballet. They are junior national champions. These two are terrific performers, very expressive and precise. Carrie Ann said they lit up the dance floor with their energy. Michael encouraged them to follow their dreams. Bruno praised their extensions and lines.

Both pairs were quite advanced and equally good. Ruh roh. Guess who's back...

The judges don't listen to kitty again this week, selecting Craig & Samantha to join Kirill & Hannah and Mitchell & Maria in the finals for the junior championship.

The Pussycat Dolls are in the ballroom with Missy Elliott to perform What You Think About That. This is not my thing, but they do put on a hot show. And there were boots and very high heels and LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS!

Oh! The results always sneak up on me. Warren and Kym will return next week.

Micheal Flatley takes the floor in a performance from his show Celtic Tiger. If you've got 7 minutes, do yourself a favor and check out the clip. It's quite good.

GAH...final results now. Brooke and Derek are safe. Maurice and Cheryl are safe.

That means Susan & Tony and Cloris & Corky are in trouble, but not necessarily the bottom two.
Awwwwww...Susan and Tony are safe, which means Cloris and Corky have reached the end of their wacky journey. She is so incredibly gracious and delightful.

Brava my dear Cloris!

Blucher!

    What a show, jam packed and full of good stuff.

    Kudos to Cloris for even trying this show, but we are getting to the mid season area and folks need to be able to do some good dancing.

    That poor indecisive kitty is getting a workout!

    Have a great day, Travis!

  1. Julie says:

    Did you cry....even briefly? I did!

    Maks in uniform? **THUD** I forgot that clip! Yummy!

    That's one sexy pic of dearest Edyta! Yeowza!

    It was written in the sky that Cloris would be going home. I'm going to miss her spunk, but she'd gone as far as she could.

    I missed the show, a snow and wind storm wreaked havoc with our satellite signal. BLECH!

  1. Dianne says:

    Gracious Cloris indeed!!

    I thought it was really lovely when Cloris told Carrie Ann that she knew Carrie Ann did not mean that horrible comment from the night before.

    Is Carrie Ann getting just a wee bit too manic? Even Tom seems to want her to calm down - what with all his caffeine comments. And he is the most easy going man on the planet.

    I just have to say - Tom is an amazing host and he makes the show even more enjoyable for me.

    That's all I got, you always say it so much better than I could. And you're so much kinder. I have been trying to be less snarky by using you as a role model.

    Maybe it'll work one day LOL

  1. Ivanhoe says:

    That was one busy show :o) Edyta is back for a moment? She is my favorite. Yup, she's got some legs alright :o)
    Goodbye Cloris, you did great!

  1. Cloris was wonderful and I am glad she lasted this long =)

    Lancey rocks ;)

  1. Yes yes I know. Cloris has now departed. But what about the important part: Will the Phillies finally win the World Series?

    Travis, I really wanted to know what happened to Cloris. I'm sorry she lost out! Thanks for letting me know! :)

  1. j says:

    I heard from someone very nice today. You will henceforth be known as "Blog Matchmaker" :)

    I bet Edyta snores.

  1. DrillerAA says:

    I have no use for the Pussycat Dolls. I thought a strip club had landed in my living room, and they have absolutely nothing to do with dancing. Sorry, but they have no place on this show.
    The kids are always great.
    I was a little disappointed in Flately. The number was very good, I guess I was just expecting a little more from him. Of course the primary reason for his appearance is to pimp his new Vegas show.
    I am glad that Cloris is gone. She should have been gone a couple of weeks ago. I don't think she could physically survive learning two dances next week.

  1. CLoris did incredible for an 82 year old woman, but it was time for her to go...and I am glad she is a class lady...Carrie Ann's comment was really NOT called for.

    Edyta ....LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS!!!!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    I did enjoy the Michael Flatley portion, but thought it was a tad too long.

    The kids were great and I certainly could not select one couple over the other.

    The Pussycat Dolls et al...OK, legs, but YAWN!

    Thanks again Travis...GREAT RECAP!

  1. Well, hubman broke it to me: "Finally! They dumped Cloris!"
    He much prefers those legs you keep referring to!
    Glad you're still having fun!
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  1. Marsha: Indeed. She was very entertaining, but we're getting down to it now and she was going to fall behind pretty quickly with two dances each week.
    Lois: He sure is. He hates to choose!
    Julie: Nah. I smiled. She was a realy trooper.
    Ann: Corky has earned a celebrity partner who can contend next season.
    Diane: I agree completely about Tom Bergeron. He is one of the top 3 best hosts on competition tv.
    Ivanhoe: Sure was. It almost got too fast for me to keep up!
    Starr: Lance & Lacey need to carry that momentum through to next week.
    Jamie: And they did!
    Mary: She sure did hang in there.
    Jennifer: LOL! Well, even if she does...she's still got great LEGS!
    Drilleraa: I will say that the Pussycat Dolls are great supporters of the show.
    V: It's clear that Carrie Ann doesn't like the players to talk over her time.
    Gracie: He's a smart man!
  1. Unknown says:
    I admire Cloris' courage and determination to get up there and she has nothing to be ashamed of!
