Happy New Year!

Just a bit of music we stumbled across during a youtube hop and bop. Oldies but goodies to put a tap in your toes.

Sweet City Woman, The Stampeders, 1971

Red Rubber Ball, The Cyrkle, 1966

Georgie Girl, The Seekers, 1968
You gotta watch this one if for no other reason than for the smile on Judith Durham's face.

Good Morning Starshine, Oliver, 1969

Here Comes My Baby, The Tremeloes, 1967

Tracy, The Cuff Links, 1969

Have I the Right, The Honeycombs, 1964

Bits and Pieces, Dave Clark Five, 1964

Because, Dave Clark Five, 1964

You get DC5 twice because I say so. HA!

May you have a fantabulous 1 Jan 2009 and get your year off to a great start!

Wasn't Georgie girl from a movie starring Lynn Redgrave?
Anyway, boy does that song take me back! From the tune itself to watching the clip --a REAL orchestra behind them, and the flowers --haha! Usually those are given AFTER they sing, but Judith was stuck holding the bouquet and singing!

Anyway, I"ll have to google her and see whatever became of her.

  1. Oooh...Don't those Stampeders just look FAB?!? So timeless & sexy! *LOL*
BTW, sorry for my long, recent absence. Been busy with offline life. Best to you & yours in 2009!
