Laughin' with the LOLcats

Tell me that one didn't make you laugh. Go on! You can't, can you?

Don't forget to spring forward with your clocks before you hit the sack tonight.

Unless of course you live in an area that doesn't presume to change time.

If you're interested, you can click here for a brief description of the origins of daylight savings time. I used to love it as a kid because we got a whole extra hour to stay outside and play in the evenings.

But these days, especially since I moved north, I'm not that much of a fan. It just stays light way too late up here. For an insomniac, that's not such a good thing.

  1. Laugh! Ha, I laugh at laughter.

  1. I can imagine that Daylight Savings Time is NOT fun at all for insomniacs.

Thanks for the reminder about Daylight Savings Time. Usually I hear about it all around me, but not this year. I probably would have shown up at church an hour late if it hadn't been for you. Thanks again! :)

I love it when my Lucy gets her little thumpers going! Too cute! About daylight savings time....I just struggle with the dark mornings. At least it doens't last for too long.

I'm not looking forward to the time change! Not at all!!

  1. Somebody needs to buy those cats some Hooked on Phonics CDs.

  1. Hope: I have it fed right into my google reader so I never miss a pic.

Cheesy: I missed my Mr Tucker's kittenhood. I adopted him when he was 4.

    Lois: Yeppers!

Charles: As long as you're getting some laughs in your daily diet.

    Southern: Most definitely not.

Cherie: The only way I remember it is to keep it on my calendar, especially since it's happening way too early and lasting way too long.

    Julie: It's way cute!

Roger: I'd move to Arizona so I don't have to deal with it, but I dislike the heat more than I dislike the time change.

    Travis: LOL!

  1. Adorable ... I do love LolCats but haven't checked them in a long while! Thanks for the reminder about changing clocks.
    Hugs and blessings,

    Ah - it's like a mini Dixie!

Light nights sounds good to me. We don't have enough light.

  1. I forgot about Spring forward until just now. Thanks!

And yes, that is adorably cute.

  1. Hey - you're my reminder for the time change! Thanks, Travis.

I moved all my clocks forward at 6:00 so I wouldn't forget to do it later and be late for work in the morning. I truly hate giving up an extra hour of sleep but alas ... until the country decides that changing our clocks twice a year is a waste of time (no pun intended!), then I guess we just have to deal with it.

And yes, I did laugh - thank you for that!

  1. monopoly cat good
losing an hour of sleep not so good

  1. T~I so love DST but it takes me a week to get over it either way. It winds up being all good.
    Love U

  1. That one makes frowning impossible.

  1. Spring for you is autumn for us, Travis!

  1. Janna says:

Awwww. The little orange kitty looks just like my cat Honeynut did when she was that age.
I named her Honeynut because she was the same color as the Honey Nut Cheerios boxes back then.

  1. I still say we should've sprung foward a half & hour & just leave the time where it is forever! It's not going to make THAT big a difference, except that it will save a lot of people aggravation &, in some cases, their lives (see Google for info on heart attacks & car accidents in the 1st days after a clock change.)

Yes, I laughed. Right. Out. Loud.

I wish I had read your post before the time changed. Late for church :(
