Friday Feets - Trav's Walk-about Adventures
Posted: Friday, May 15, 2009 by Travis Cody inWelcome to Chapter 4 of my feature. I'm on a quest to fight the crippling effects of chronic pain from an old knee injury by getting out and walking. You can trace my journey by clicking here.
We finally had fantastic weather on a Saturday. So last weekend we stopped at Sears for a quick oil change. Then we fortified ourselves at Denny's with a couple of Grand Slamwich breakfasts. And then we headed on over to Seattle Center.
From the website:
Seattle Center brings together people of all ages and walks of life to create thousands of extraordinary experiences that enrich millions of lives each year. Entertainment options abound - starting with 63 free and low cost public programs and over 5,000 events annually. The 74-acre campus is home to more than 30 cultural, educational, sports and entertainment organizations. This treasured urban park exists to delight and inspire the human spirit and bring our rich and varied community together. Come discover why so many are drawn to the Center!
I've got a ton of pictures, so come along on a little tour.
Key Arena is where the Sonics used to play. It remains the home of the Storm of the WNBA. And it's still an excellent venue for concerts.
The Science Fiction Museum is in the Center. You can buy a day pass that includes a tour through the SFM as well as the Experience Music Project.
Amid all that beauty and serenity...FUN!
I hope you enjoyed our walk about the Seattle Center.
I always love how blue your skies always look. It must be a very nice place to live.
