I did it because I can. And because Pam dared me. And because she squeeeed while we were watching it and I thought that was cute.

This is from a 1971 appearance on the Flip Wilson Show.

In case you weren't a little girl in the 1970's and don't know, Donny is the short one. The other lead singer is Merrill and the other brothers are Alan, Wayne, and Jay.

I think if the phone lines were open already for Dancing with the Stars, Pam would be dialing. Don't hold it against her...she had as big a crush on Donny as I had on Marie.

Just two more weeks to go and we're live from Hollywood!

OMG..this is just too funny. LOL. I'm not looking real forward to DWTS this season. I'm so into SYTYCD and how much better it is. And the stars this season don't enthuse me at all. I've watched this all but the first year and it's just not all enticing this season. But I'll plod through :)

When my family gets together we gather 'round the piano and sing... so I wonder, what do the Osmonds do?

  1. Cherie says:

Gosh, I didn't know that Osmonds could move like that. I certainly don't remember anything like that on Donny & Marie. LOLOL (Do remember ice skating thought.) That was really great! And even though I've never met Pam, please tell her that I had a pair of purple socks. She'll know what I'm talking about. ;)

  1. Well, the Osmonds are not exactly my cup of tea, but the video was fun.

  1. Thom: For me, DWTS and SYTYCD are different and I like them for different reasons. So I'm looking forward to both. But to each his own.

    Akelamalu: Pam thinks so too.

    Barb: Probably something similar!

Cherie: Yeah, I know about the purple socks. And I do remember the dance moves. Very hip back in the day.

Charles: Not head bangers for sure.

The more things change... and now, your niece squeeees when she sees the youngest Jonas Brother *giggle*

Donna was, and remains, a cutie patootie.

Ah yes, I was a major Donny fan, too, back in 1972! As far as I was concerned, the other Osmond Brothers were there just to provide back-up! Gotta admit, he's aged quite nicely, too!

Child of the 70s here so I agree with Pam! I loved Donny AND his purple socks.

He looked pretty nice in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat too. The sarong suited him :)

Well...i never really go into Donny...I went for the "bad boys" I guess.

But you wanna know something funny...from my vantage point your Meez guy looks as though he is dancing with the Osmonds! The backgrounds are nearly the same colors and everything!

    Too funny!

  1. I seem to remember being very resentful with my Mama and Dad cause they didn't have a whole bunch of kids so that we could sing like the Osmonds and the Jacksons....

  1. Ann: I don't know if she's into Jonas Brothers, but I'm sure she's got someone that makes her squee.

Linda: We're looking forward to seeing whether he can still move, especially with the back trouble he's had recently.

Jennifer: I enjoyed his rendition of Any Dream Will Do from that show.

Julie: Me? Dancing with the Osmonds? Cool!

    Katherine: LOL!

    NNG: So does Pam!
