Honoring the fallen

Posted: Thursday, February 18, 2010 by Travis Cody in

While on rounds last night, I dropped by my pal John's place at Altjiranga Mitjina and saw this terrible news.

Marine PFC Jason Estopinal, of Dallas, Georgia, was killed by an IED on Monday. He was 21 years old.

I didn't know the young man, but John did. Please visit his blog to read a moving tribute to a life ended all too soon.

Thank you Jason, for your service and your sacrifice.

We have lost so many young people to this unnecessary war. He was a hero. It's a shame our politicians are such cowards.

Another brave young soldier pays the ultimate sacrafice for God and country. Rest well, Jason.

  1. Sigh. I don't even know how to say "I'm sorry, my condolences" again....it's so tragic. Again.

I thank him for his service and send prayers to the family and friends.

    Thank you for posting this.

What a tragedy! Our service men and women are so heroic. They know the dangers and choose to serve anyway. May Jason rest in Peace.
