Five on Friday Set 6

Before we get to this week's set, let me take a moment to thank my pal Jamie from Duward Discussion. She shot me a timely email reminder to get over to Mr Linky and make a linky for this feature.
So I did! You'll find it at the end of the post...if I did everything correctly.
And thanks to those of you who have tried the feature. I didn't set out to create a public meme, but I'm really pleased at the reception. So now, with the linky, I can visit everyone who decides to play that much easier. Pam and I have enjoyed your sets during the weekend.
And now...let's get to Set 6!
I enjoy the work of many different singer/songwriters, but I think my favorite is Jim Croce (1943 - 1973). He wrote poetry and set it to music. He wrote lovely melody and used it to enhance his stories. He created rich characters and gave them voices.
He just made great music. And he was taken much too soon.
I hope this works! If you decide to play, please sign the linky so I can come visit your Set! And just in case it doesn't work, you can read the guidelines for this feature here.
Croce was a genius with painting pictures in music able to go from a sensitive love song such as "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song" to a raucus bit of comedy such as "Working At The Car Wash Blues".
