Nearly finished

Well gang, after nearly six months, construction is almost finished.

All of the new windows are installed and finished out with weather stripping, even the garden window. The sills are installed. The walls have been repaired and re-textured as needed, with at least one coat of primer completed. The carpet has been tacked back into place.

As for the exterior, all repairs are complete and the building is partially wrapped in the tar paper sheathing. The front deck bridge has been rebuilt.

So what's left? I need final paint inside and there's a baseboard in my bedroom that needs to be fixed. The rest of the tar paper sheathing needs to be nailed, and then the siding needs to go up. The front stairs need to be finished. And then we need the exterior painted.

Oh...we need screens on our windows!

I'll put some pictures together soon so you can where we were and where we are now.

I'm looking forward to the photos!

  1. Can I bring you in to put in charge of the street work here in New Orleans. They've got like fifty miles of road torn up all around where I work, and very little sign of any progress on any single piece of it.

That is an awful lot for six months and I bet you're sure glad to see it coming to an end - until the next batch of projects rolls around!

Making money on the internet is easy in the hush-hush world of blackhat hosting, Don’t feel silly if you have no clue about blackhat marketing. Blackhat marketing uses not-so-popular or not-so-known avenues to build an income online.

I bet you and Pam are glad to be nearly done with that mess! Too bad they couldn't have done that when the weather was nicer, though, so that you didn't have freeze during the snow!

To coin a phrase: "Short term pain for long term gain."

    You're almost there.
