Lakers 2, Celtics 2

I looked away for half a second, and when I turned back to game 4 of the NBA Finals last night it had turned into a football game. I do not enjoy the pro game when it is allowed to be as physical as it was last night. I prefer a free flowing game where the skill and athleticism of the players is what decides things.
I thought the contact both ways was excessive and I'm just not interested in thuggery masquerading as basketball.
The difference in this game was on the glass. Boston outrebounded the Lakers 41-34. More importantly, the Celtics got 16 offensive rebounds on the way to tying the series at 2 games each. Also, Boston got excellent contributions from its bench players, outscoring the Lakers' bench 36-18.
Kobe Bryant had 33 points and 6 rebounds, but he was also hounded into 7 turnovers. Pau Gasol added 21 points.
All of this is very encouraging if you are a Celtics fan. And as a Laker fan, I understand that the things that went wrong last night are fixable. I expected the series to go at least 6 and perhaps 7.
Next up...the pivotal game 5 on Sunday from Boston.
