Harry Potter - a spoiler free zone

We saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I this morning.  We loved it.  We thought it was worthy of the franchise, and can't wait until next July to see the conclusion.

And that's all you'll hear from me about it in this space, because I would never spoil it for you if you intend to see it but haven't yet.

Since we're on vacation next week, we'll see it again on Monday.

Monday!

That's the performance finale for Dancing with the Stars!!

And since I've declared this a Harry Potter spoiler free zone, I ask my east coast pals to keep this a DWTS spoiler free zone on Tuesday.  You'll see who wins the Fabulous Mirror Ball trophy before the results show airs here in the pacific northwest.  Even though I can find out online, it's a special event evening in the Travis and Pam abode, and we like to enjoy the frivolous festivities without knowing the result until the very end.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I'm thinking Amanda will be wanting to go see HP when she's home on Thanksgiving break next week so it will be awhile before we get there. Of course, with the way my brain goes these days, I could read a spoiler today and forget it by tomorrow!

    Enjoy your weekend!

I'm so looking forward to seeing it!

I would imagine one would need to see that movie more than once. First time to get the story, then subsequent times to really get into the imagery.

    Have a fun vacation week!

I want to see it but have no plans to do so just yet so I'm glad you haven't told us about it Trav, thanks. x

I was planning to go ee the HP movie this weekend but decided against it after reading some the reviews... mostly 3 out of 5 stars. So I'll wait for the DVD. I'm glad to hear you and Pam enjoyed it!

  1. I sure did love the book. Looking forward to the movie.

  1. Linda: Since I already know the book so well, the only real spoiler for me would have been where the first part breaks. Without revealing anything, I can say that it broke exactly where I anticipated it would.

Kate: I was not disappointed at all.

Lois: Indeed. I think I've seen each of them at least twice in the theatre, except the first one.

Akelamalu: I'm sure it will be around long enough for you to get to it.

Barb: I didn't look at any reviews before I went to see it. Then I read some yesterday. The ones I read mostly came from a perspective of what the reviewer wanted or expected from the film, and then graded whether those personal expectations were met. And that's why I don't pay attention to reviews anymore. I wanted and expected certain things from the film, and I was well satisfied with what I got.

Charles: For me, the films are creating a very satisfying companion to the books. I'm pleased.

I can not wait to see it next Friday. I've heard that it closely follows the book. I like that! So far everybody who saw it really enjoyed it :)
    Have a great Thanksgiving, Trav!

Glad you got to see HP. Glad you liked it. That's good to know. Will take Goodnight soon, but I'm not a opening weekend girl. Actually, she isn't either.

I must admit that I agree with your persepctive about movie reviews.

No spoiling from me about DWTS - even if I don't fall asleep! Have a great vacation week!
