And cue LEGSSES
Posted: Friday, August 12, 2011 by Travis Cody inWelcome to the final encores and results!
We've got our fru fru finery. We've had our traditional cheese and crackers, nice merlot, and CAKE. We are ready for results!
But first, let's see what we liked about Wednesday's performance finale.
Melanie and All Star Robert Roldan from Season 7 were amazing with their Contemporary piece choreographed by Stacey Tookey. Melanie is riveting even when she doesn't move. Even with her back to the audience.
It isn't the kind of dancing I normally enjoy, but Sasha demolished this Jazz piece with All Star Mark Kanemura from Season 4. Choreography was by Sonya Tayeh.
Marko and All Star Lauren Froderman from Season 7 made a moment with their Contemporary piece choreographed by Tessandra Lopez.
Dance of the night honors go to a beautiful Contemporary piece choreographed by Stacey Tookey and brilliantly interpreted by Melanie and Sasha.
Excellent.
Welcome back to our Top 20, leading off the show with a high energy group number choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.
Final Cat update: Simply stunning in red with loose wavy hair just the way I like it. Damn that woman is gorgeous.
The table is full as Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy are joined by Lil C, Robin Antin, Tyce Diorio, Sonya Tayeh, and actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
Who will it be...Melanie, Sasha, Marko, or Tadd?
The winner comes later. First, let's have a reprise of some of the favorite dances from Season 8. Click on the names of the dancers to see the routines.

Mary selects as one of her favorite performances the Contemporary piece (Total Eclipse of the Heart) from Melanie and All Star Neil, choreographed by Mandy Moore.
Jesse selects as one of his favorite performances the Contemporary piece (I Know It's Over) from Marko and All Star Allison choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.

Do you remember that we actually have some business to deal with? I know, I'd rather not. But we're looking for America's Favorite Dancer, and it's time for an elimination.
Finishing fourth...Tadd Gadduang.
Lil C selects as one of his favorite performances the Broadway piece (Please Mr Jailer) from Ashley and Chris, choreographed by Spencer Liff.

It's time for another elimination.
Finishing third...Marko Germar.
Melanie or Sasha? We'll find out in moments.
But first, Nigel selects the final favorite performance of the season, the Jazz piece (Come On) from Melanie and Sasha, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.
Are you ready? Melanie or Sasha? Sasha or Melanie?
Here we go.
Our runner up...Sasha Mallory.
And that means...America's Favorite Dancer is Melanie Moore!
Well done young Lady!
And that's a wrap.
