Shall we play a game?

It should be a relatively easy game.  At least, I think it will be.  All you have to do is figure out what ties my Set together.

Have a great weekend gang!

In Dreams, written by Roy Orbison, released in 1963

Lay Lady Lay, written by Bob Dylan, released in 1969

Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth), written by George Harrison, released in 1973

American Girl, written by Tom Petty, released by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1977

Mr Blue Sky, written by Jeff Lynne, released by Electric Light Orchestra in 1978

If you'd like to join in, here are the guidelines:

1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.
2. Go to Playlist.com to make your Set of five songs. You may choose a particular theme to share with us, or post random tunes if that's your vibe for the day. You can simply post the Set, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.
2a. Don't feel restricted by the tracks listed on Playlist.com. And don't be discouraged if the Embed code won't work. You're welcome to use any type of media to share your Sets.
3. Be sure to sign Mr Linky so everyone can visit your Set.
4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.

Go forth and enjoy music!

  1. Well the first two song titles made me think you got up to post and then were going back to bed, but then I decided it was a group of Singer/Songwriters doing their own compositions. This week I'm homeward bound.

  1. These take me back!!
    Happy Friday Trav!

  1. Lay, lady lay. Haven't heard that one in a long time. Probably my favorite song by him.

I don't know, for some reason I thought perhaps they all pointed towards Pam but I haven't had any coffee yet this morning so I could be WAY off base! ;-)

  1. I'm clueless.but I enjoyed the tunes that I have not heard in a while.
