SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Opening day kicks off in 15 minutes as I write this. We get Denver vs Buffalo opposite Philly vs GB this morning, with Tampa at Seattle this afternoon. Then the Sunday night game of course is the Giants at Dallas.

We're listening to the talking heads from CBS right now. We don't understand why they need five guys to talk about what's likely to happen. But for now we'll probably stick with CBS pre-game, although we dislike all the nonsense. It won't be long before everything is on mute and we're just watching the games. Both Pam and I know how to watch a football game without pronouncers anyway.

Tough day yesterday for Irish fans. In fact, it's shaping up to be a tough season. I'm trusting Coach Weiss for now, but that offensive line needs to step up and protect the kid. Jimmy Clausen is the real deal, but he needs some play makers to help him out. Things have to turn around quick though, or it's no bowl game for Notre Dame.

YAY for the Pac-10! #13 UCLA, Oregon, #10 Cal, Arizona St, Washington, and #1 USC have all started with wins out of the gate. With some ranked teams stumbling to start the season - such as Michigan, TCU, Auburn, and Boise St - perhaps UW and Oregon can break into the top 25.

OK gang. It's almost kick off time. Don't forget Turnbaby Talks tonight at 8pm EST. You can click here to go to her Blog Talk Radio page.

Happy Football! Later babies.

Enjoy the football. I know you have been waiting and waiting. Have a great Sunday afternoon. :)

  1. I watched 8 hours of college ball yesterday so today I'm mainly checking in on the scores. I will watch the Sunday night game, of course. It's good to see someone as happy as I am about the return of football.

  1. We have The Big Ten Network now, so we vegged out on college football. It was fun watching the Wolverines get BEAT again (ha! ha!), but those Irish are really pitiful. Sigh.

Hey, what the heck happened to your Raiders today? Didn't really watch much of it because I was on the phone, but I saw the end. Ick.

  1. Sandee: Oh I have. This is my favorite time of year.

Charles: I'm going to have to make some football sacrifices soon so I can do some writing.

Songbird: My Raiders didn't totally suck, they were reasonably competitive. I'll be happy with 6 wins.

Like I've said before...it's great that you and Pam both like football.

I like to watch college football but have lost the love of pro.

I tried to watch a little of the pre-game stuff yesterday, and I sat there the whole time thinking how stupid the guys look standing there on their little indoor football field, one of them with a football. When they go to demonstrate something, I had to change the channel. I was embarrassed for them.

I went to a nobody college but I still prefer college over pro ball. Seems more exciting to me for some reason, and I've never been able to quite put my finger on why.

Sounds like you have a good setup for the season there with the tv, your gal, and your cats.

  1. Julie: Yup. It most certainly is.

Jam: My mute button will get a work out, if we even turn on anymore pregame garbage. The post game stuff is even worse.

    Ambre: Woooooooooooooooooooooo!!
