Peace in the bloggosphere

I read a lot of Peace posts Wednesday and saw a lot of Peace Globes. There was some creativity with paint and photoshop, and some really excellent writing. I tried to get to everyone who signed Mimi's Mr Linky. I left a comment just about everywhere I went, but sometimes something on the blog crashed my IE. I tried to go back and sometimes it worked out.

Why am I telling you this? Because Wednesday was such an enjoyable day for me. I had such a sense of community, and I wanted to share that in as many places as I could. And if something as silly as a technology glitch kept me from doing it, well I just wanted to let you know that too.

So to anyone who doesn't see The Wolf from Trav's Thoughts on your Peace post, it's either a tech thing or it's because I wasn't aware of your post.

Here are a few of the Peace Globes and peace posts that particularly touched me on Wednesday.

It begins with Mimi Writes, a blue marble and 100 little dolls.

Dragonheart's Domain

Skindiving

Bagwine Ruminations

Sparkling Lotus-land

The Starr Ann Chronicles

Unplug your kids I wrote about activism, but here's someone who actually has suggestions for how to be active in promoting peace with children.

Thailand Gal

The Spirit Knows Best

Sheltered Sanity

A Word in Edgewise

There were so many more posts. And I know I missed some. This weekend I'll be searching again for any Peace Globes and posts I might have missed.

To all who participated Wednesday, I say thank you for your thoughts.

And thanks to my friend Ann. Pam and I have been giggling at this all evening.

If I wasn't sitting on my butt I'd be kicking it. I am so sad that I missed Peace Day this time. I had every intention of participating again as I did last time. Then life got away on me. World Peace is one topic that is very close to my heart.

Sending peaceful, love filled thoughts to you dear friend.

    Big licks to you Travis.

  1. I admire you for visiting the Peace Globes at so many sites. You're awesome.

Nothing is more peaceful in my soul than the sound of a child laughing. What a fabulous video.

Making my normal blog visits on Wednesday, it was indeed a lot of community spirit feelings I got as I saw so many Peace Globes, read so many posts too pertaining to peace. It's such an important topic, I'd like to see it pushed even more if possible. "Let it begin with me" should really become our mantra. After all, it has to start somewhere, doesn't it?

  1. Jeni says:

Oh and I forgot to mention, if it hadn't been for my post and Peace Globe, I'd never have met you Trav! See the good things that happen!

I missed Peace Day due to technical hitches and I'm very annoyed but in the spirit of the event I will not rant, just one question though, does anyone know why blogger occasionally insists on loading and loading and loading even after you tell it to 'display the insecure items' Is it having a nervous breakdown or is it just VERY insecure and in need of SERIOUS THERAPY! I'm not ranting honest I'm not.

I guess you have been a very busy man making the rounds of the Blogosphere to check out the Peace Globes - kudos to you and thank you for stopping by earlier this week!

Peace to you and Pam and Mr. Tucker, too!

    everytime I try IE freezes.
I'm sorry to say I was too caught up in my own problems to persist but my thoughts were with you all.

    Love the baby clip.

I'm still making my way through some of the posts. WOW there's so much to take in.

    Thanks for the mention.

  1. Thanks for the honor Travis! Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom, Friend!

It was a wonderful day wasn't it?

And if that little boy's giggles doesn't give people a reason to work towards Peace.. nothing will.

Hugs Bro! (I tell you me thinks of a baby Travis when I see the falling over giggle!)

  1. ACey says:

Hey Travis - thanks for the nice comments left on my blog, and for including me on your list of meaningful posts.

I am not so good at blogging, and even worse at commenting on other's. So, your kind words on the bunny blog really meant a lot. We really miss you over there.

  1. Travis - You have brought so many people together through your links and efforts and sincere postings. You totally rock!!!

I am still sifting through as you can imagine and checking links and leads. It will take a while but I will get to everyone's post sooner or later! I just appreciate all the participation and enthusiasm.
I want to really read them all and not just skim through.

The video had me giggling too! It is hysterical and Anndi is right, that baby's happy face is a reason to blog for peace. We want him to grow up in a society full of joy and giggles.

Peace and have a fabulous weekend!

Great post Trav....i really feel like I missed out on this special day. I'm trying to visit as many places as I can.

    **hugs**

  1. Alice: Sometimes we have to take care of business. I know you fly the Peace Globe in your heart every day.

Reba: You still get scooby snacks.

Songbird: We've been watching that video all weekend. We love it when he falls over on his tummy.

Turn: Those were the ones in particular that touched me, but there were so many more.

    Matt: You're welcome.

V: Yes there was, and I'm sure I missed some great posts.

    Sandee: Thank you my dear.

Misty: Maybe we should send Peace Globes and baby giggles to all the world leaders and remind them what conflict can destroy.

  1. Jeni: You're right. I think the movement is gaining momentum.

Pauline: Sorry about those technical difficulties. I hope you did send a Peace Globe to Mimi even if you weren't able to get a post up.

Linda: I thought it was important to see as many posts as I could.

Cathy: I hope life starts to get better for you soon.

Jeff: It was good to see so many people really giving peace some thought.

Robin: You are most welcome. I've met so many new people over the last week.

Ann: It's good to see you around the bloggosphere again. Pam said that little guy looks like me too.

    Acey: You are very welcome.

  1. Robin & Wayne: Thanks for stopping by. I miss y'all too. I wish there was more time these days to see everyone and do everything.

Mimi: I'm just following your lead. The road to peace is through understanding of others. I can only understand others by reading their words.

Julie: But you were spreading peace in Italy. Welcome home!

  1. this was my first peace globe day...and it was indeed great.

I laughed at the baby giggling too...more because I was speculating on the things he will be ripping up that will not make his daddy laugh....

    laughing laughing laughing...
