I miss DWTS encores.

Who would have thought that I'd miss American Idol? Well, let me get it right. I don't miss AI. I miss listening to David Cook. Did you hear? He won! Hehehehee!

Valerie Bertinelli has lost 40lbs and she looks HAWT! Of course, she's always been HAWT...to me anyway. You may or may not recall that I have a crush...since like 1976. She winked at me last June. She did NOT wink at everyone I say! She winked at me!

We had plans to go see either Indiana Jones or Prince Caspian over the weekend. Guess which one we saw. OK...I know that little game doesn't work. You're not going to close your eyes and try to guess. You're just going to keep reading until you get to the part in this paragraph where I tell you which movie we saw. Right? See! I knew it! Well guess what? Oh...I just did it again.

We had pizza for dinner and I burned the front part of my bottom lip when the sauce splattered.

Did you hear that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be split into two films? Evidently the producers feel that they don't want to leave anything out. Part one is scheduled for a Nov 2010 release, with part two following in May 2011. Both films are being filmed simultaneously, as Peter Jackson did with Lord of the Rings.

Speaking of Lord of the Rings, I read that Ian McKellen will play Gandalf in The Hobbit. This is another film that will be split into two parts, currently scheduled for 2010 and 2011. I also read a rumor that Andy Serkis will reprise the role of Gollum. The character is CGI but the facial expressions, the body movements, and the voice all come from the acting of Mr Serkis.

The Spurs put on their defending champion shoes and dusted my Lakers on Sunday in San Antonio. But tonight my Lakers played like champions to steal game 4 and take a 3 games to 1 lead in the best of 7 Western Conference Finals. The Lakers nearly gave it away at the end on an uncharacteristic mental mistake by Kobe Bryant, and yes I did see the contact by Derek Fisher on Brent Barry on the final play of the game. But the refs didn't blow the whistle and ultimately the Lakers did have the answer for every challenge the Spurs could mount. The series shifts back to Los Angeles for game 5 on Thursday, when the Lakers can close out the champs and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2004.

What's that? What do you mean I never said which movie we saw? **scrolling back up** Oh! Sorry about that. We didn't see either.

Heheheheheheheheheeee

Later babies!

I believe you that Valerie Bertinelli winked at you Trav because the same thing happened to me on Sunday evening when we went to see Shayne Ward (winner of the X Factor 2005) - he smiled straight at me and licked his lips! (phew)

  1. Schmoop says:

Ouch. I hate when the pizza burn sets in. Cheers Travis!!

  1. I'm kind of excited about the Hobbit.

  1. DrillerAA says:

You're right about one thing, Valerie Bertinelli has always been hawt.
We intended to see Indiana Jones this week-end as well. We also didn't get to go to the movies. Maybe I'll make a Saturday matinee. Smaller crowd and cheaper price.

  1. Marsha says:

I feel so lost now.....I have nothing to watch on tv until Thursdays now.

  1. David Archeleta is about to appear on Regis and Kelly... Valerie sure does look good since she lost 40 lbs. But what I want to know is what happened to the one from Cheers? I think she gained all the weight back...that's so disheartening. :(

  1. valerie does look good, but she always did to me too!

    smiles, bee

  1. Sandee says:

I'm so glad that Valerie winked at you Travis. Bwahahahahahaha. She is indeed a very beautiful woman.

Take care of that burned lip. I've done that and it ain't funny. Have a great day Travis. :)

  1. I was excited to hear that Deathly Hallows was going to filmed in two parts. There's NO WAY it would have fit into one film, even if said film was three hours long. Can't wait for Half-Blood Prince to come out this Fall!

  1. Travis, take those "Red" rhododendron pix and let me know you posted them for Ruby Tuesday...I'd love that. You can do it now or wait til next Tuesday...:D

  1. Coco says:

Valerie Bertinelli ... I remember her from that tv show ... she is very pretty. She winked at you, huh? Cool beans, hun.

FYI, go see the Indiana Jones - it's ... mmmm ... just REAL good!

  1. Lana winked at me this morning. Man was I jazzed.

  1. I did your seven questions meme.

  1. I always had a little thing for Valerie...hubba hubba

    Pizza burns are the worst...OUCH

Guess what? I missed the dancing too!

Ummm that was a foul...if it had happened in the first quarter they would have called it...

You know i do not follow basketball closely, but since my brother is a huge Spurs fan, I have rooted for them in the past.

Now I am silent since I knew you love the Lakers...

That is what friends do...they bite their lip when they don't totally agree with a friend...

    hehehehehe

  1. truthfully...in some of the earlier HP movies they did leave some important scenes out. While I am cynical about TWO movies...I think I am glad they went that route1

    GO LAKERS!

Lisa and I had a date night and saw Indiana Jones. It had some good parts to it, but overall I'd say I was a bit dissapointed. Some of that for good reason, but part of me wonders if it's because there has been so much time in between them that my expectations were skewed.

We took the boys to see Narnia yesterday, and I was much happeier with that show.

  1. j says:

I've seen Caspian. Twice. Two thumbs up. Twice.

As for Valerie? I want to do what she has done. She REALLY does look good. I always liked Eddie Van Halen. He was a DOLL.

But they looked so much alike... it was a little weird when they were together. Like Bro/Sis or at least cousins.

    Take Care.

    Jen

  1. RW says:

Valerie Bertinelli I agree has always been hot!

  1. Awww, I feel cheated for you about the movie! We saw Indy 4 and enjoyed it, but the grail one is still my favorite.

  1. Ivanhoe says:

We went to see Indy and it was pretty good. Little cheesy and somewhat predictable but still great entertainment. Going to see Sex & the City tomorrow...(with my girlfriend, hubby excused himself for this one :o)
Cannot wait for the Harry Potter movies!

  1. I had seperation anxiety all Tuesday and Wednesday, Trav. Plus the stomach flu. On the plus side, not only did he win he is breaking records right and left! For the last charting period he had 941999 digital downloads. That's close to 1 million in 1 week. So much for the conspiracy theorists :P

    Cook Sizzles

  1. Akelamalu: Our crushes are so aware of us, aren't they? LOL!

Matt: It's in the top 10 of worst things ever.

    Terra: Me too!

Drilleraa: We're regretting not going to the movies over the weekend, so maybe we'll see both flicks on Saturday & Sunday.

Marsha: And I don't know what to post anymore!

Teach: I heard the same thing. And there are some unflattering photos of her on the internet.

    Bee: She's sassy!

Sandee: I'm on the watch for the new commercial now!

Songbird: I'm excited for HBP. And then we still get two more films after that!

    Teach: That's a good idea.

Coco: She's gorgeous. And we might go this weekend to the film.

  1. Unknown says:

Taylor Hicks winked at me too, and not to 7 million viewers. I know it.

As for the movie, was Prince Caspian any good? Bethany wanted to see it, but I talked her into seeing Indiana Jones instead. Hehe!

  1. Charles: I'm wink-challenged myself. But I go all silly when Pam winks at me. She's good at it.

    Jamie: Cool!

V: It was a foul...but the whole situation has been blown way out of proportion. SA had lots of chances to win the game and they just couldn't do it.

Katherine: I just watched Azkaban again. I think they left out too many key elements in that film that impacted the flow of the story. Missing pieces also messed with the foreshadowing for things that happen later in the story.

Jeff: 19 years was too long to wait for a 4th Indy. I think we'll see Narnia on Saturday and then maybe Indy on Sunday.

Jennifer: So is that 4 thumbs up? LOL!

Roger: You have excellent taste Sir!

Joely: I like Raiders best, then Last Crusade. I hated Temple of Doom.

Ivahoe: Don't tell anybody, but I've been dreading that Pam would want me to go see S&TC with her. But it turns out she's not a fan. So I'm off the hook!

Starr: That's so cool! I guess the difference of 600k downloads between DC and DA reinforces the AI result.

  1. Indeed it does. But they are so cute together, it is obvious that David and David really do think of each other as brothers, and Archie has repeatedly said he thinks DC was the right winner.

Idol is getting stricter about his older material but given that he had an entire album ready to release right before he audtioned I am hoping he gets to add his own stuff.

Most of the download sites have been yanked but you can find links to various songs Here
