And now for something completely silly!

This is Bailey romping in the snow. I remember seeing this pass around last year.

How about some baby Ethan giggles? This always cracks me up!

We're supposed to get snow showers sometime today and then through the night and all day Sunday. The storm came in pretty good yesterday afternoon. I left the office early to get across the SR520 floating bridge across Lake Washington before these conditions got any worse.

The swells weren't quite that rough when I drove across, but they were pretty significant.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Yikes, those swells would have wigged me out if I were on the bridge. [shudder]

Ya know, Travis, nothing sounds better than a baby with a case of the giggles. Just makes me feel warm all over (and, not, it's not a hot flash, silly!)

    :-D)

The snow has hit us! I am now off to fight the idiots that don't NEED to be on the road lol.. Stay warm!

  1. Cheesy says:

and..... LOLOLOL AT THAT SILLY DOG!

  1. I am never crossing a bridge again.
    OH MY LORD!!!!

  1. Cherie says:

Now, that dog and baby know the definition of bliss. :) And that bridge ... nothing like adding a little excitement to your life. Wow!

  1. Akelamalu says:

The dog and the baby just had me in tucks! :)

Crikey I think I'd have had to find another way to get home there's no way I'd have driven over that bridge! :0

  1. Kanani says:

Driving across that bridge looks slightly terrifying, Travis!

I guess there's rain heading our way --that's good. It's been so dry here lately.

  1. Those vids were so hilarious. That dog really looked like he wanted some folks to come join him. he was having fun.

  1. no worse that when the GoldenGate is being rocked by winds comming into the bay.

  1. Travis says:

Lois: I defy anyone not to laugh when they hear baby giggles.

Cheesy: I'm not good at driving in the snow, so I'll be home and out of the way!

Mimi: Tall bridges make me dizzy, and bridges right on the water can make me seasick!

Akelamalu: Tucks? Is that like "had me in stitches"?

Kanani: It was just short of terrifying, especially when I came across a video simulating the failure of the bridge in high winds!

    Charles: He sure was!

Mike: Well, that road surface on SR 520 is floating right on the water so the water can actually swamp the bridge. So it's a bit different.

  1. OMG...Bailey totally reminds me of my old husky! The deeper the snow, the more ape$h!t he went. He made Canadian Winters bearable. SO funny!

  1. Jamie says:

You would have to be second cousin to a rock to not laugh at those videos.

The sky is looking ugly here in Tacoma, but so far no storm. Stay safe and warm.

  1. Linda says:

There is no way on God's green earth I'd want to drive across that bridge and normally I don't mind bridges! I hear you folks are in for some nasty weather out that-a-way; hope that you and Pam stay cozy and warm this weekend!

Oh, and thanks for the giggles - always appreciated!

  1. I say 'whoa!' to the bridge, too - when the wind gets heavy in my city, I take the ferry. At least we can rock 'n roll on the waves.

The dog had my husband and I in stitches (we have a dog that goes zany in the snow...but not that zany...)

And the baby - I'm still laughing!

  1. Julie says:

HAH! i remember those videos. Reruns are good when the material is excellent!

So glad you made it safe and sound.

  1. That dog was great! I bet he slept well that night. It made me claustrophobic to watch him in that REALLY deep snow... yikes. LOL!

And that baby! You just can't help but giggle...

Glad you made it home safe and sound...

  1. Chuckie says:

Well what does Mimi think when she creates these long thingies. Good grief, Charlie Brown. Anyhoo, as always, nice to see you. Hope you're well, Trav and are enjoying your weekend....Hmmm. I wonder if she put me in the dungeon as I haven't been paying attention at all to my blog *oopsie*

  1. Travis says:

Lana: I love watching a dog play like that.

Jamie: We had some snow overnight, but nothing like the ominous warnings from the news.

Linda: I've never liked these floating bridges.

Julia: Unfortunately I live on the non-ferry side. So it's either go across on these floating bridges, or go around the lake.

Julie: And those are two good reruns!

Clancy: Two things good for some laughs once in awhile...dogs and babies.

Chuckie: I'm sure Mimi will give you a pass because of how busy your work has been!

  1. Jeni says:

I absolutely love that dog video!

  1. I love those vids, but that bridge? Not so much. Is that the one known as the Mercer Island Floating Bridge?

  1. Hope says:

ohmyhell...we have a bridge over Glaveston Bay...but geeez that angle make severything look pretty scary...I assume you are headed south on that bridge?

  1. Janna says:

Wow. It would completely freak me out to drive across a bridge like that. Those waves (swells?) are just too close for comfort.
    Yikes.

It looks like other commenters have said exactly the same thing, but I just had to add my two cents too. :)

    Cool picture.

  1. Travis says:

    Jeni: I know!

Songbird: The Mercer Island bridge is I90. This one is north of that, SR520.

Hope: Actually the view is eastbound. The bridge runs east to west across Lake Washington.

Janna: It was definitely a pucker moment.
