Marvin Hamlisch died earlier this week.  He was 68.

Four time Emmy winner.  Four time Grammy winner.  Three time Oscar winner.  Tony winner.  Two time Golden Globe winner.  Pulitzer Prize winner.  He and Richard Rodgers are the only two ever to combine the EGOT collection with a Pulitzer.

Naturally, I present a collection of notable music from Mr Hamlisch.

"There have been studies that clearly state that children who are exposed to arts education at a young age will in fact do markedly better in their SAT tests."
Marvin Frederick Hamlish

  1. Two great minds division - I did the same thing but with a (for the most part) different set of songs.

  1. Good thing I briefly considered a Marvin Hamlisch set and then went for superheroes instead! Or maybe it would have been amazing to sweep the 5 on Friday's with a single artist.

  1. Oh, by the way, Travis--I could use a vote for my blog, which ends today (voting, that is.)

  1. Incredible talent - OK, I guess I will have to start posting videos as the mp3 files are not loading correctly for me...dang
