All the competitive dancing is done. All of the viewer votes are in. We have America's Favorite Dancer times 2...one gal and one guy. Now you just have to read through to the end of the post to see the winners.
(I guess you could have watched last night, or checked the internet today, for the result. But I'll pretend that you waited to read my recap, OK?)

We changed things up a little, since Dancing with the Stars premiers on Monday. We reserved our fru fru finery, our cheese and bread, our nice merlot, and some pie for that. For SYTYCD results finale we wore shorts and ate TACOS and CAKE.

Cat update...long and straight hair. Not my favorite, but Cat is gorgeous anyway. I dig the short futuristic frock.
The panel is expanded to include Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, tWitch, Adam Shankman, and Paula Abdul.
I'll give you links to the favorite routines selected by the judges and the Final Four.
First favorite routine is selected by Paula. She selects Edge of Glory, featuring Makenzie and Paul, choreographed by Mandy Moore.
Adam selects the Hip Hop piece Hello Good Morning, featuring Fik-Shun and All Star tWitch Boss from Season 4, choreographed by Luther Brown.
Wooooooooo!!! We get Season 11 next year!! It's never a given. Snoopy dance of joy!
Now Nigel selects the Top 20 tap routine You Really Did It, featuring Aaron, Alexis, and Curtis, choreographed by Anthony Morigerato.
tWtich selects the Broadway piece Kiss of the Spider Woman, featuring Hayley and Nico, choreographed by Sean Cheesman.
To 10 guys reprise Sand, choreographed by Christopher Scott.
Cat selects the Hip Hop piece Run the World, featuring Jasmine and All Star Comfort Fedoke from Season 4, choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon D'Umo.
Mary selects the Contemporary piece Medicine, featuring Tucker and All Star Robert Roldan from Season 7, choreographed by Travis Wall.
The opening routine of the season featured our Top 20 dancing through the entire studio to Puttin' on the Ritz, including cameos from choreographers and judges and celebrities. This was choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon D'Umo. You have to watch this one. It's cool.
The All Star favorite is the Jazz piece I Am the Best, choreographed by Mark Kanemura, featuring Jenna and Mark himself.
We have an amazing exibition from an outstanding beat boxer and a terrific hip hop stylist. They form an expressive duo called Movement Box.
There was a Twitter vote last week so the fans could choose between two Travis Wall routines for the results finale. It should be no great surprise that the winning selection was the Contemporary piece Wicked Game, featuring Amy and Travis himself. This was the moment of the season for me. Genius.

America's Favorite Female Dancer and ultimate Favorite Dancer is Amy Yakima.
Best wishes to Aaron Turner and Jasmine Harper, who I suspect will be working in a company or on Broadway within moments of finishing the fall SYTYCD tour, as will I'm sure both Amy and Fik-Shun.
Thanks for taking the journey with me yet again. I have a great time watching and writing out my thoughts, and I appreciate those of you who leave your opinions.
Don't forget the premier of Dancing with the Stars next Monday. I can't promise thorough early season recaps like I normally do, because we're heading into busy end of quarter, but I'll do my best.

I am guessing that all of the top 10, maybe 20 will be gainfully employed soon after the tour. I found it interesting that several major metropolitan areas will not host the tour this year. Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Detroit, Austin, are among cities that will be on the outside looking in.
