What do you think of the year 1961?

Hmmm?

Oh, what do I think of the year 1961?

Well, I think the year 1961 is quite awesome.

This weekend involves absolutely nothing and I must say I'm due for absolutely nothing.

Cheers gang!

Mr Linky is below.  Remember I'm counting down the days to Blog Blast on 4 November with 30 days of Peace Quotes and Reasons to Blog for Peace.

We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community...Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.  Cesar Chavez

Reason 23:  Because I cannot sit on the sidelines and enjoy the fruits of peace won by others.  Joining the Blog Blast is one of the ways I earn a part of the peace for myself and for my community.  I just don't want to get to the end and wonder whether there was something else I could have done.

We speak on one subject with one voice on one day.  Won't you join us?  You have a voice; how will you use it?  Check in at Mimi Writes or at the Peace Globe Gallery for all the details you need to make your Peace Globe and join your voice to the movement.

Join us.  You know you want to.

I believe that words have power, so this matters.

  1. 1961 was mixed year for me of lots of ups and some really bad downs, but at least the music was good. Amazing how well Spanish Harlem holds up after more than a half century.

  1. Hi Travis -- I'm late getting around to all the 5 on Friday-ers. We had Thanksgiving this weekend, and we had family here from Michigan. Wonderful set! Walk Right Back is my fave this week.
