Wow! This is my 10th Set already!

So let's review, shall we?

I've had Sets featuring Eddie Money, a tribute to Buddy Holly with Ritchie Valens and JP Richardson, songs from my favorite American Idols (Taylor Hicks, David Cook, and Bo Bice), Wes Montgomery, a tribute to some favorite Ladies (Judy Garland, Lena Horne, Roberta Flack, Better Midler, and Carly Simon), Jim Croce, Dave Clark Five, Bread, and Bobby Darin.

Eclectic, eh?

So what's on tap for this momentous Set 10? It's a group featuring one of my favorite vocal talents...Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

  1. Jamie says:

I had to have the whole score of Jersey Boys to compliment by Greatest Hits direct from the Four Seasons. Great list.

I'm doing Motion picture themes with a tip of the hat to Kim Novak at her sensuous best.

  1. That was fun. There were a few on there I hadn't heard before (Dawn and Opus 17.)

Let's Hang On is my favorite from today's set.

  1. Marilyn says:

My very first one is up... nerd songs. :)

  1. Linda says:

I love Frank Valli and the Four Seasons - such great song choices and such memories they bring back, too! I think I would have been hard-pressed to pick just five!

With just about an hour and a half left to Friday I've joined in just in time!

    Mary: Soundtracks are cool!

Akelamalu: I have one too. I've held off downloading from iTunes because I can simply digitize the LP...whenever I finally get around to it!

    Mags: Happy Opening Day!

V: Outstanding! Welcome to the feature!

Marina: Welcome to the feature! It's good to meet someone I didn't know before!

Jamie: I thought of including a tune from the Jersey Boys soundtrack, but then I had a hard enough time choosing from the original tunes.

Julia: Opus 17 has always been a favorite because of the way it escalates through the melody.

Marilyn: I'm glad you joined in!

Linda: I did have trouble narrowing to just 5.

  1. Dianne says:

I want to see 'Jersey Boys' - this reminded me, I think I'll just buy tickets now :)

Their sound was so original and the songs made you want to sing along. The first two are my favs.

I'm going to participate in your Five on Friday one day. It sounds like fun and it would be something different than what I usually do on my blog.

    Have a wonderful weekend Travis.
